Website chatbots that answer accurately and book the job

A website chatbot earns its place by doing two things: answering the handful of questions that stop people calling, and capturing contact details from visitors who would otherwise leave. We build chatbots grounded strictly in your own material — your services, service area, hours, pricing rules, and policies — so the answers are yours rather than a general-purpose model's best guess about your business.

The problem

Most visitors arrive with one blocking question: do you cover my area, do you handle my brand of equipment, what does this roughly cost, can someone come Saturday. If the answer is not on the page, most of them leave rather than call. Meanwhile the enquiries that do arrive land outside business hours and go cold overnight.

What you get

  • A chatbot grounded in your own documented answers, which says it does not know and offers a human instead of inventing an answer
  • Lead capture into your CRM or inbox with the full conversation attached, so whoever calls back has context
  • Qualification questions you choose — service area, job type, urgency, budget band — asked conversationally
  • Escalation to a human with the transcript, plus an out-of-hours path that sets a real expectation
  • A transcript log you can read, which doubles as the best list of what your website should have said in the first place
  • Answer coverage measured after launch: what it was asked, what it could not answer, what to add

How it works

Step 01

Write the answer set

We build the grounded answer set from your real material and your team's most-asked questions. This is the work that determines whether the bot is useful; the software around it is the easy part.

Step 02

Constrain and test

We test it against the awkward questions — the ones about price, warranty, and things you do not do — and constrain it to refuse and escalate rather than guess.

Step 03

Watch the transcripts

For the first weeks we read what people actually ask and close the gaps. The transcripts usually change the website copy too.

A good fit if

  • Sites with steady traffic and a short list of repeated pre-sales questions
  • Businesses losing after-hours enquiries
  • Owners willing to supply real answers about pricing rules, coverage, and policies

Not a fit if

  • Sites with almost no traffic — fix the traffic problem first, a chatbot with nobody to talk to is decoration
  • Businesses that cannot commit to following up captured leads quickly, which wastes the whole exercise
  • Anyone wanting the bot to replace the phone entirely for high-value or urgent work

Questions we get asked

Will the chatbot make things up about my business?

That is the risk that matters, and the defence is grounding plus refusal. The bot answers only from your supplied material, and when a question falls outside that material it says so and offers a human. We test this explicitly with questions you have no answer for, because a bot that confidently invents a price or a warranty term costs more than it earns.

Is a chatbot better than a contact form?

It is better at two specific things: answering the blocking question that would otherwise end the visit, and collecting details from people who will not fill in a form. Keep the form as well. The chatbot is an additional path, not a replacement.

What does a chatbot cost to run each month?

Hosting is minimal and the AI cost is per conversation. At typical small-business volumes that is usually single-digit to low tens of dollars a month. We show you real usage numbers after the first month rather than quoting a guess.

Can it book appointments directly?

Yes, if you have a calendar system it can safely write to, and if you are comfortable with real slots being taken without a human check. Many businesses prefer it to propose times and let the office confirm. That is a decision about your operation, and we build it either way.
