AI voice agents that answer the calls you are missing

An AI voice agent answers the phone when nobody can: during a job, after hours, or when three calls arrive at once. It greets the caller, finds out what they need, checks whether you cover it, books or takes a callback, and sends a written summary to your office. For trades and clinics, the unanswered call is usually the largest and least visible leak in the business, because the caller simply dials the next result and you never learn it happened.

The problem

The phone rings while you are under a sink or mid-treatment. It rings at 7pm when the homeowner's water heater fails. It rings three times at once on the first hot day of summer. Each unanswered call is a customer who calls your competitor next, and none of it appears in any report you look at.

What you get

  • A voice agent on a dedicated number, used for overflow, after-hours, or both — your main line keeps working exactly as it does now
  • Qualification by your rules: service area, job type, urgency, equipment, and whether it is an emergency you want woken up for
  • Booking into your calendar or a structured callback request, whichever you trust
  • A text and email summary of every call within seconds, plus the recording and transcript
  • A hard escalation path: defined emergencies get a live human number immediately, not a callback promise
  • An honest opening disclosure that the caller is speaking to an automated assistant

How it works

Step 01

Script the calls you actually get

We start from your real call patterns and write the flows for them, including the ones that must reach a person immediately. Emergency routing gets designed first, not last.

Step 02

Test with your own team

Your staff call it and try to break it before any customer does. We tune the interruption handling, the accents and background noise it must cope with, and the point at which it gives up and transfers.

Step 03

Run it on overflow first

It takes the calls you are currently missing, so the downside is bounded — the alternative for those calls today is a voicemail nobody leaves. Widening its role comes later, if the transcripts justify it.

A good fit if

  • Trades, clinics, and field-service businesses that miss calls while working
  • Businesses where after-hours calls are real revenue and voicemail catches none of it
  • Seasonal businesses with call spikes that do not justify a permanent hire

Not a fit if

  • Businesses whose callers need genuine clinical, legal, or financial advice on the call
  • Anyone wanting to replace a receptionist who is also doing five other jobs a phone agent cannot do
  • Practices where regulation or your own judgement says a human must take every call — a good reason to stop here

Questions we get asked

Will callers know they are talking to an AI?

Yes, and it says so at the start. Beyond it being the right thing to do, disclosure requirements for automated callers vary by state and province and are tightening. The agent discloses, and it offers a human early to anyone who asks for one.

What happens in a genuine emergency?

Emergency routing is designed before anything else. You define what counts — no heat in winter, a burst pipe, a medical urgency — and those calls are transferred or trigger an immediate alert to a real human number. The agent never handles an emergency alone.

Does it replace my receptionist?

No. It answers what currently goes unanswered. A receptionist who greets walk-ins, handles complaints, chases suppliers, and reads the room does things a phone agent does not. We deploy on the overflow and after-hours calls where the honest comparison is not a person but a voicemail nobody listens to.

How much does a voice agent cost to run?

Per-minute telephony plus per-minute AI cost, so it scales with call volume rather than being a flat fee. We estimate from your current call log before building, and the comparison to make is against the value of the jobs currently being lost to unanswered calls — for most trades that is one recovered job a month, not ten.
